Today marks the day of the first alpha release of the next version of Drupal: 7.0.

Whilst the release is by no means suitable for production/live websites, its still worth being aware of, and testing if out if you're curious about what it can offer.

With the recent public announcement that high profile whitehouse.gov [3] was using Drupal to power its website, it’s a wonder what other government departments are also using Drupal.
